Multiple Numerical Answers for a Single Question

Dear Reader,

I am putting this out for consideration and hopefully effecting change. Could a new option be made in Canvas quizzes, in keeping with the naming scheme, Multiple Numerical Answers? This option would be similar to the present "Numerical Answer" option with "Exact Answer", "Answer in the Range" and "Answer with Precision" but it would also be like the "Fill in Multiple Blanks" where multiple numerical answers could be submitted for a single question which has multiple parts. This option would allow the user to respond to the different parts of the question and each answer submitted will be checked by Canvas based on whether the Exact, Range or Precision option was selected.

I agree we need an option like this to make CANVAS viable for engineering courses like the ones I teach. I would like to have a quiz setup something like this

Currently I do not see anyway of implementing this in CANVAS. Wish they came up with this one soon.

Of course, this issue was brought up three years ago and, like other significant problems with Canvas in quantitative subjects, we get crickets from the developers. I have not minced words with the IT people at my university who didn't bother to vette this LMS before hanging it on the faculty's shoulders, so here we are: an LMS that doesn't satisfy a significant core of faculty.
