If Discussions Redesign is enabled by your institution, you can allow students to create anonymous course discussions from the Discussions page.
Discussions Redesign is currently a beta feature. Some discussion settings and features in the classic Discussions interface may not function or be available in Discussions Redesign.
Notes:
- If Discussions Redesign is not available in your course, it has not been enabled by your institution.
- If a student creates a discussion that includes a file, the file will be added to the unfiled folder in course files.
Open Discussions
In Course Navigation, click the Discussions link.
Open Settings
Click the Settings icon.
Edit Discussion Settings
Check the Create discussion topics checkbox [1]. To allow students to create anonymous course discussions, click the Create anonymous discussion topics checkbox [2].
To save discussion settings, click the Save Settings button [3].
