Android Student | Submission comments show HTML tags

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 10/7/24.

Description

 If a student views a submission comment given to them through Speed Grader through the mobile app, it will display HTML elements.

Expected Behavior

 HTML elements should not be appearing when students view their comments.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1.  Create a Canvas assignment and have a student submit to it.

  2. As a teacher, open the assignment in Speed Grader and give the submission a comment.

  3. Login to the Student application and navigate to the submission and view the comments. Notice that HTML elements are appearing unexpectedly.
