Copy to & Send to function can break Course Image/Files in New Quizzes with the new Rich Content Editor


This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 12/14/23.


If a user copies or sends a quiz (by clicking on a New Quiz’s kebab menu and selecting ‘Copy to’ or ‘Send to’ options): Course images and Files might not be editable or viewable or different Images/Files may be shown.

Expected Behavior

Instead the right images and filed should be rendered and be editable.


No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce


  • Have at least 2 course

  • Have a New Quiz in a course

  • Have Images or Files uploaded to the same course

  • Don’t have the same Images/Files with the same ID in the other course

  1. Add a Course Image or Course File to the New Quiz

  2. Use the Copy To or Send To feature on the created New Quiz and select the other course
