This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 2/7/24.
Description
If you filter by a student who has an active and an inactive enrollment in two different sections and filter by their inactive section their row in the gradebook will still display. This is in contrast to a student who is only in one section and inactive in that section. They won’t show in the filter until you enable ‘show inactive enrollments’
Expected Behavior
When filtering by a specific section in the gradebook it should only show ‘active’ enrollments, even if you filter by a specific student who has an active enrollment in another section.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce

Create a course with multiple sections

Enroll a student as active in one and inactive in the other

Navigate to the gradebook and make sure ‘Show inactive enrollments’ is disabled

Filter the gradebook by the student

Then filter by the inactive section and notice they still appear in the gradebook
