Section enrollments can cause inactive/concluded students to show in Learning Mastery Gradebook

Section enrollments can cause inactive/concluded students to show in Learning Mastery Gradebook

Canvas white logo

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment.

Description

If a student's enrollment is switched sections and then made inactive or concluded, they will still show in the Learning Mastery Gradebook without the Inactive/Concluded filters applied.

Expected Behavior

Inactive/Concluded students should only show in the Learning Mastery Gradebook when the filters are applied.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

Prerequisites: Published course with more than one section, and Learning Mastery Gradebook feature turned on.

  1. Create an outcome and an assignment. Add a rubric with the outcome to the assignment.

  2. Mark the outcome for a student. Check Learning Mastery Gradebook.

  3. Switch student’s enrollment to the other section and then deactivate/conclude the enrollment

  4. Go back to Learning Mastery Gradebook and notice they still show.
