How do I take an assessment in the Mastery Connect Student Portal?

If your teacher has made them available, you can locate and complete assessments in the Mastery Connect Student Portal. For enhanced accommodation (EA) assessments, answers are entered in-line with the questions. For document-based assessments, answers are entered in an online bubble sheet.

Notes:

  • You can also take assessments in your web browser at student.masteryconnect.com using a test ID number and your student ID number.
  • Some assessments include enhanced tools and accommodations. Learn more about taking an assessment with enhanced tools and accommodations.

Log In to Student Portal  

Log In to Student portal

To log in to the Student Portal, go to app.masteryconnect.com.

Type your user name or email address in the Username or Email Address field [1]. Then, enter your password in the Password field [2].

To log in, click the Submit button [3].

You can also sign in with your Google credentials or from Clever.

To sign in with Google, click the Sign in with Google button [4].

If your school uses Clever, you can log in there by clicking the Sign in with Clever button [5].

Notes:

  • If you are unable to log in, make sure you have activated your account.
  • If you do not remember your password, check with your teacher.  

Locate Assessment

If you know the test ID number, enter it in the Test ID field [1]. Then, click the Next button [2].

If you do not know the test ID number, find the assessment in the list and click the Start Assessment button [3].

Take Enhanced Accommodations Assessment

Complete the assessment.

Take Document-Based Assessment

To complete a document-based assessment using an online bubble sheet, click the question bubble that matches the correct answer for each question number [1]. When the answer is recorded, the question bubble displays as shaded.

To navigate through the assessment, click the Forward and Back arrows [2].  

To pause the assessment, click the Pause button [3]. If you need to log out of the system, pausing the assessment will save your work.

When you are ready to submit the assessment, click the Finished button [4].

To confirm that you are ready to submit the assessment, click the Submit My Answers button [1].

To return to the assessment without submitting it, click the Go Back button [2].

Note: After you submit your answers, you will not be able to reopen the assessment.

If your teacher has enabled Show Scores to Students Upon Completion, the scoring  window displays the following information:

  • The number of total points earned over the total number of points possible on the assessment [1].
  • The total percentage of correct answers on the assessment [2].
  • The standards the questions align with [3].
  • The number of total points earned over the total number of points possible for each standard [4].
  • The mastery level achieved for each standard [5].

To close the scoring window, click the Done button [6].

If your teacher has not enabled Show Scores to Students Upon Completion, the submission window displays the green checkmark [1].

To close the submission window, click the Done button [2].
