How do I update classic assessments to support enhanced tools and accommodations?

In Mastery Connect, assessments that contain items from paid item banks that were purchased after 2020 support enhanced tools and accommodations and display the EA Assessment Delivery Indicator.

Assessments created before 2020 may include items from paid item banks that display the classic (C) Assessment Delivery Indicator and do not support enhanced tools and accommodations. To enable delivery of enhanced tools and accommodations, these classic assessments must first be cloned and updated.

View Assessment Delivery Indicators

In the Global Navigation menu, click the Assessments link [1]. Then, search for an assessment using the search and filter options [2].

Item-based assessments display the Item icon [3].

Item-based assessments created prior to 2020 do not support enhanced tools and accommodations and display the C indicator [4].

To update the assessment and enable enhanced tools and accommodations, click the More Options icon [5]. Then select the Clone option [6] and clone the assessment.

Note: Historical data will not follow the cloned assessment.

View Updated Assessment

In the Assessments list, the cloned and updated assessment now displays the EA indicator.

Enable Enhanced Tools and Accommodations for Formative Assessments

Click the Add drop-down menu [1] and click the appropriate link to add the assessment to a tracker or curriculum map .

In the selected tracker or curriculum map, configure tools and accommodations for the assessment.

Enable Enhanced Tools and Accommodations for Benchmark Assessments

Mastery Connect district administrators can also enable enhanced tools and accommodations for benchmark assessments.

In the Global Navigation menu click the Admin link [1]. Then, hover over the Assessments tab [2], and click the Benchmarks link [3].

Locate the assessment in the list and click the Manage button [4].
