As a Mastery Connect teacher, you can use the Mastery Connect Teacher app on a mobile device to capture evidence of learning. You can add a note or upload an image for each student's assessment using your mobile device.
You can capture evidence of learning as it happens in the classroom, outdoors, or elsewhere. It is used to show student work on math problems, diagrams on a white board, or projects such as visual arts. The feature also captures evidence to show justification and provide context for changing a score in a tracker.
Notes:
- The Mastery Connect Teacher app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
- The images shown in this lesson are from an iPhone. The Android and/or tablet interfaces may have slight differences, but have the same functionality unless otherwise noted.
- Although evidence must be added through the Mastery Connect Teacher app, you can view the evidence from a tracker on any platform that supports images.
Open Tracker
When you log in to the Mastery Connect Teacher app, the My Trackers view displays by default. To select a tracker, tap the tracker name.
Open Standards
Tap the Standards tab [1]. To open a standard, tap the standard name [2].
Open Assessment
To open the assessment where you wish to add evidence, tap the assessment name.
Select Student
Locate the student for whom you want to add evidence, and tap the Evidence tab [1].
You can add photo evidence or notes. To add photo evidence, tap the Add Photo icon [2]. To add a note, tap the Add Notes icon [3].
Add Photo Evidence
You can add a photo from your photo library, or take one with the camera on your phone.
To add a photo using your phone, tap the Camera option [1].
To use a photo from your library, tap the Photo Library option [2].
Note: If you choose the Camera option, the photo will not be stored in your phone's photo library.
Add Notes
To add a note, enter text in the Notes window [1]. Then, to save the note and open a new Notes window, tap the Save button [2]. To save the note and close the Notes window, tap the Save & Close button [3].
View Evidence in App
Evidence displays in the Mastery Connect Teacher app and in the tracker on other platforms.
To delete or replace a photo, tap the Delete or Replace button [1].
To delete or edit a note, tap the Delete or Edit button [2].
View Evidence in Tracker
When you view a tracker in the Mastery Connect desktop application, student assessments that include evidence display an E in the student mastery indicator for the assessment. Click the E icon to view the evidence.
