How do I create a resource pin from a computer file or website URL?

In Mastery Connect, you can create a resource pin from a file on your computer or from a website URL. Resource pins currently support any image format supported by your browser including PDF, DOC, XLS, JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP file types.

Note: You may also be able to upload other file types; however, the quality of the user experience with other file types can not be guaranteed.

Open Pins

In the Global Navigation menu, click the More menu [1]. Then, click the Pins link [2].

Click the Add Pin button.

To upload a file from your computer, click the Choose File button [1] and select a file.

To add a resource using a web address, enter the address URL in the Web Address field [2].

To locate the resource in the uploaded document or web page, click the Find Images button [3].

To select the playlist where you want to locate the pin, click the Resource Playlist drop-down menu [1].

To create a new playlist for the pin, select the Create a New Playlist option and enter a playlist name in the New Playlist Name field [2].

Use the drop-down menus to select a subject, core, class, and standard for the pin [3]. To add additional standards, click the Align To Another link [4]. A description of the standard displays [5].

An automatically generated description of the resource may display. To enter or edit the description, enter text in the Description field [6].

To save the pin, click the Pin It button [7].

View Pin

To view the pin, click the My Pins tab [1]. The pin displays in the list [2].
