Partial Credit on Categorization and Sorting Questions

Throughout previous quizzes, I have not received partial credit for categorization and sorting questions. I believe Canvas should implement an option for automatic partial credit, so faculty do not need to manually adjust each student’s grade. This feature would benefit both faculty and students by recognizing understanding and awarding partial credit for the correctly completed portions of these questions. Thank you!

Why aren't students able to get partial credit on categorization and sorting questions? If we are able to get partial credit on select all that apply questions, I believe that we should get partial credit on categorization and sorting questions as well. So far, several students in my cohort have already submitted a request to the canvas help desk, and they have directed us to asking a question on this platform instead, so I hope something can be done about it. The option should at least be available for professors to decide whether or not to give students partial credit, however Canvas currently does not allow that.

@SHARLENEBURGETT I'm sorry if you did not find my reply helpful. I was simply trying to positively support the idea and express that the feature idea is in place for the Canvas development team to review. If there was a workaround in Canvas, I'd be happy to provide it. Is there something I could have written that you would have found more useful?

This feature has been promised since 2021, but Canvas is dragging their feet.
