Upcoming Quiz Transition Feature Flags (updated August 2023)
The following feature flags are planned to empower you to control institutional experience for adoption of New Quizzes. We have considered both the need for institutions to provide multiple options during the transition as well as the prospect of using soft rollouts with pilot groups. Let us know if there is something else you need to control the rollout in your communities.
Quizzes feature flags are set at the Root Account level and not adjustable per subaccount. The feature flag will be visible to customers in the Feature Options settings where a Customer Admin turns on the feature. Feature flags currently appear as Feature Preview only in Beta until they are released in production.
The information on this page will be updated as more of these features are released and the feature flags become available in beta or production.

Allow Migration to New Quizzes |
New Quizzes Migration During Course Import/Copy The New Quizzes Migration during Course Import/Copy feature option allows the New Quizzes checkbox option to display as part of the Import Content page. Users who are importing content can decide if they want to import existing quizzes as New Quizzes. |

Migrate to New Quizzes by Default |
New Quizzes Migration Enabled by Default The New Quizzes Migration Enabled by Default feature option allows the New Quizzes checkbox option to be selected in the Import Content page by default. However, users who are importing content can deselect the checkbox if they do not want to import a quiz into the New Quizzes engine. |

New Quizzes Migration Required The New Quizzes Migration Required feature option selects the New Quizzes checkbox by default. Users who are importing content are required to import all existing quizzes as New Quizzes. |

Default to New Quizzes This feature option sets New Quizzes as the default quizzing engine and removes the ability to create Classic Quizzes. Access will not be removed for viewing content or data for Classic Quizzes. When creating a quiz from the “+Quiz” button it will take you to the Assignment Edit page rather than open the window to Choose a Quiz Engine.* |
