A new teacher is not appearing in Canvas. She is in our SIS (PowerSchool) and her classes appear in Canvas but she does not have an account and does not appear in the "People" list as the teacher for her courses (no teacher is listed). Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Full disclosure... I am in higher education, and I have no experience with PowerSchool. Have you talked with your IT person at your school who handles sending enrollments from your SIS (PowerSchool) to Canvas? It sounds like that needs to happen so that an account is created in Canvas, and then that instructor can then be added as a "Teacher" to the course. I'm not sure how your school has things set up between PowerSchool and Canvas, but hopefully your IT person will be able to help with this matter. Good luck!
Thank you for your response, Chris! Turns out, I am the IT person!!!! 😀 Our enrollments are being sent from PowerSchool to Canvas. All other teachers automatically rolled over into their courses except for this one. I am thinking maybe there is something that is missing in PowerSchool so I will talk with our SIS person tomorrow. But I thought I would at least try here in the meantime.

@glaviolette Hey! We use PowerSchool and usually if this happens, I have our SIS team check the following:
1) Is the teacher assigned to a school that you are pulling from? (For example, we have a "school" which has a code of 0 for users that are central office but still need PS access, but these users don't get pulled automatically from the SIS sync).
2) Is the teacher marked as "active" in the PowerSchool SIS?
Hope this helps troubleshoot why she may not be showing up in Canvas.
Thank you! Our SIS coordinator checked both of these and they were both set appropriately. However, she did notice that login to PowerTeacher was not clicked (or something similar to that). So, we are hoping that by checking this option, which she normally selects for all teachers, that it will correct the issue.
