Dear Canvas Credentials Community!

We heard you! Many of our customers expressed the need for a safe, dedicated space to explore new features, validate workflows, and ensure smooth adoption before updates go live. In response, we’ve launched Beta environments for Canvas Credentials—giving you early access to upcoming enhancements while keeping your production data untouched.

We are excited to announce that Beta environments are now available for Canvas Credentials! These provide a secure testing ground for updates without affecting production data.

Why Use Beta Environments?

  • Risk-Free Testing:  Explore new features in a mirrored production environment without impacting your live data or workflows. Test with confidence, knowing your existing setup remains safe and unchanged.
  • Early Access: Be among the first to explore enhancements before wider release.
  • Real-Time Feedback: We're actively monitoring your feedback to make real-time improvements ahead of the wider release. Your insights directly shape our updates, ensuring a better experience for everyone.

How It Works

Data Synchronization

  • Environments sync with live production data weekly on Saturday.
  • Synced data includes users, issuers, badge classes, and pathways.
  • Awarded assertions, groups, and auto-award objectives are not synced and need to be configured manually.

Key Details

  • Notifications are sent in-app by default. Enable email notifications with caution as they may trigger learner alerts.
  • Custom SSO configurations are not supported.
  • The integration aligns with Canvas Beta for end-to-end workflow validation.

Gaining Access

Eligibility

  • Available exclusively for Canvas Credentials customers.

Steps to Start

  1. Request Access: Submit a request to our support team.
  2. Activation: Your environments will be populated after the first Saturday following approval.
  3. Log In: Access your account using your standard credentials at the designated URL for your region:
