Bio:
I began teaching Visual Art in 2012. I attended a ceramics workshop with other educators in 2016, where I first learned about Canvas. My instructional technology facilitator @MaryTatum had multiple meetings and conferences that week to learn all she could about Canvas. The next month I began learning the ins and outs of Canvas. I spent the summer building my courses and reading everything I could find on best practices.
I fell in love with Canvas, passionate about the potential we have with our students, creating a truly blended classroom. I was officially named the Canvas Implementation Coordinator for our County and began training the faculty.
I presenting in 2017 on integrating Project Based Learning with Canvas at NCTIES (North Carolina Technology In Education Society).
This summer I hope to continue training teachers in our county, build our county Professional Development courses, and update all of my courses.

My students love getting the checkmarks. Its difficult to remember to add all of the items to the prerequisite, but the students will always remind me when it doesn't make the green checkmark.
