In Mastery Connect, you can use GradeCam along with your camera to scan assessment bubble sheets. The scanning and exporting settings allow you to select one of your installed computer cameras. The settings also allows you to specify keystrokes for triggering the scan or for scanning a new line. The settings also allow you to control the keystroke speed.
Note: If you are having trouble with Gradecam, you can try adjust the scanning and exporting settings. You can also refer to GradeCam troubleshooting information.
Open Settings
In the Global Navigation menu, click your Login Name link [1], then click the Settings link [2].
Open Scanning/Exporting Tab
Click the Scanning/Exporting tab.
Allow Access to Camera
A message from your browser asks you to allow or block Mastery Connect's access to your camera. To use your camera through GradeCam, click the Allow button.
Note: If you do not see this message, Mastery Connect may already have access to your camera, or your browser has blocked pop-ups, or you have previously denied Mastery Connect access to your camera. You may need to clear browser cookies, edit your browser settings to allow pop-ups, or allow app.MasteryConnect.com to access to your camera.
Edit Settings
If you have more than one camera, you can select which one to use. To select a camera, click the Camera Source drop-down menu, and select one of your cameras [1]. If you allows access to you camera, Mastery Connect detects and names it automatically.
To change the keystroke for exporting, click the Export Key drop-down menu, and select an option [2]. You can select any of the function keys from F1 through F12.
To change the keystroke for going to the next line, click the Next Line Key drop-down menu, and select an option [3]. You can select Enter (Return), Tab, Enter Twice, Tab Twice, or Down Arrow.
To change the time between hitting a key and action occurring, click the Keystroke Speed drop-down menu, and select an option [4]. You can select Fast, Medium, Slow, or Very Slow.
The camera displays its current view [5]. To flip the image 180 degrees, click the Flip the image coming from the camera checkbox [6].
Save Changes
To save the settings, click the Save Changes button.
