I was working with a Grade One teacher this week. She was really excited about using the video record tool with her students in Discussions. The kids were too! (Students are using Lenovo Yoga devices.)

Wouldn't it be cool if the students could use Speech to Text in their reply as well as or instead of the recording tool. Seeing their spoken words come to life as text would be magical.

This idea has been archived https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/9697 but I think it needs a serious look again. So much potential for K-6 as well as for student with special needs.

Having speech to text built into Speedgrader has been FABULOUS. Could the magic spread a little further to the RCE?
