Fact: Students, currently, can submit peer reviews as a comment or as a rubric and comment. When the student submits it, they have lost all access to that peer review.
Problem: In our courses, we have very specific criteria for the peer reviews. We also encourage revision in all of the elements of the course. If a student cannot access the peer for revision, the nature of our course is affected and, to make it possible to resubmit, we have to delete their original peer review, which is harmful to the process of writing.
Solution: Make the peer reviews accessible to the reviewers for viewing and editing until the lock date.
