[ARCHIVED] Assignment not showing up in assignments

My my fifth grade partner and I share materials, so I import her reading modules and she imports my math modules. I imported her module for our week 2 instruction and added them to my own week 2 module. When I went to grade one of the assignments in that module, I couldn’t find it in my Grades, so I checked in Assignments and I couldn’t find it there either, however it is still in my Module for Week 2, and kids are accessing it. I can even grade it on Speed Grader! I just can see the assignment or the grades on my Grades page and I can’t see it on my Assignments page. The assignment is published, as is the module. How can I fix this?

I experienced a similar problem. I imported assignments from course 1 to course 2, which were all copied into an "Imported Assignments" group under assignments. I deleted this group. When I imported assignments again from course 1 to course 2 and added them to modules in course 2, they would show up in the module but I could not see them in assignments. It appeared that deleting "Imported Assignments" messed up with Canvas's file system.

I solved the problem by going to modules where the assignments showed up, clicking on the assignment, and then editing the title (eg. just adding "--" to the end) and saving it. Then the assignment with the edited name showed up under assignments, at the top most group.
