[ARCHIVED] Assignments not copying over - stuck on 'copying assignment'

Hello, Have copied a course however some assignments are caught in a 'loop' and when opened only display 'copying assignment' (image attached).

Is there any solution to this?

Did this get resolved?  I am having the same problem trying to import a large quiz i am trying to give tomorrow!

I had the same issue, so I deleted the assignment that was stuck, re-copied the same assignment to the desired course plus to my sandbox. Copied fine to the sandbox, but is stuck again in the desired course. Then I copied it from the sandbox to the desired course (renamed it before copying just in case two with the same name would cause a problem) and it worked fine! I don't know why that worked, but I'm glad it did!
