[ARCHIVED] Automatically format date (daylight savings ISO 8601) in SFTP

Hello,

We are implementing Canvas for the Fall and working on file creation for SFTP.  We want to include dates in the Course and Term files that would be uploaded via SFTP.  We would like to programmatically update the date to reflect daylight savings time and adjust to !SO 8601 format.  Has anyone does this already and have code they would be willing to share?
