We have a startup module in the beginning of all our courses. It is a pre-requisite for the rest of the modules. For a student taking multiple courses, having to do the startup module multiple times is a waste of time and unnecessary. What is the best practice to design our modules so the same student only needs to do the startup module one time across all courses he/she is enrolled in?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Possibly have a certificate generated that the student must submit?
The student could then submit that same certificate for each course they take that term.
The only *required* step in the first module would be to submit the certificate.
This does necessitate the instructor checking the certificates before allowing the students to progress.

That's a great idea! We don't have Canvas Catalog. Is there a way to trigger the certificate automatically within Canvas when certain assignments are finished?
