@carol_hammer , that's definitely distressing. One possibility is that the browser you're using to access the training course is out of date and not supported, so check the version of the browser (preferably Chrome or Firefox) with those listed in Which browsers does Canvas support? If yours is older, update accordingly.
From our vantage point in the Canvas Community we can provide general troubleshooting assistance, but our members only have access to their own courses and accounts, so if updating the browser doesn't resolve the issue, please contact the facilitator of the training course directly or the eLearning department for your district for further assistance.
