[ARCHIVED] Calendar and Event Visibility to Parents

I am a relatively new district admin for Canvas, but my experience is very limited.  I have a parent who, when they log in via the website or parent app, shows a blank calendar and no upcoming events for the student she is observing.  Her account looks properly set up, and when I "act as user" and go in as her, everything is there - upcoming events and calendar.  Canvas Help couldn't find a solution and has elevated the case to the next level.  Wondering if anyone here has any ideas?
