Hello, my surname has changed and I need to update Canvas so my legal name is displayed. Display Name changes are disabled in Canvas.

Unfortunately, the Canvas Community would not be able to help get your surname change because we do not have access to your school’s Canvas environment.  I would recommend that you check with someone at your school about this…such as your school’s local Canvas administrator or someone from your school’s Online Learning/eLearning department.  They may have procedures in place to change your surname in their Student Information Systems…which, in turn, may also automatically update your surname in Canvas.  I browsed the Lindenwood University website, and I was able to find this support site for you which has some contact information under the heading “Need Technical Assistance?”: Technology Services | Lindenwood University Online
