I am trying to download a the Canvas Instructor application for my Kindle file from the Google Play store. It tells me that it will not work with the silk browser. Any suggestions or insight on how I can get this to work for my Kindle fire.

Hi @trkramer ,
I'm not sure there is a workaround as Canvas doesn't support the Kindle Fire for their native apps. You can see a reference to this for the Canvas Student app in 2018:

I have read in the community that some users have had success accessing Canvas through the Silk Browser on the Kindle Fire, but not the app. I know that will give you less functionality, but is the only workaround I can see to use Canvas on a Kindle Fire.
