Hi again Accessibility Community!

We're pleased to share that we have published a VPAT dedicated to the Canvas Student and Canvas Teacher native mobile apps: https://www.instructure.com/canvas-student-app-and-canvas-teacher-app-voluntary-product-accessibilit...

This represents the first time that the Mobile apps have received a formal VPAT, though they have been developed to high accessibility standards for a number of years. We hope you find it useful.

What would it take for Canvas to move from "substantially conformant" to *fully* conformant with WCAG guidelines? Let's keep moving forward ...

Great question Andrew. We certainly intend to keep improving our accessibility and are proud of the progress our mobile teams have made this year. Over three dozen different accessibility issues were resolved, but several are still outstanding. We've recorded those known exceptions in the VPAT. Unfortunately some issues take longer than others to resolve.

So while I don't have a timetable for being able to formally move past "substantial," we're actively working to reduce the number of known issues and provide a better and better experience for our accessibility users.
