[ARCHIVED] Canvas Student app redirects me to the web version

When I want to open the mobile Canvas app I downloaded in the Play Store, I get redirected to the web version. Each time I have to fill in my credentials again. Can somebody help me to get the normal app version of Canvas for students

After downloading the Canvas Student app from Google Play Store, try using the QR Code to sign in. I wonder if that approach would provide you with different results. (Also make sure that your phone's operating system and the Canvas Student app is up-to-date.)

How do I view a QR code to log in to the Canvas mobile apps as a student? 

After trying the QR code, let the Instructure Community know about your experience.
