[ARCHIVED] Canvas Teacher app question

Hi everyone,

Longtime reader, first time caller...er...questioner. I demo'd the Canvas Teacher app at our weeklong PD conference last week and the #1 suggestion from folks there was if, along the bottom window where you see "Courses," Inbox," and "Profile," can we have an icon (with a badge alert) to give a number of assignments to grade? Much like the "To Do" in our Dashboard?

If this doesn't go here, can someone point me in the right direction for the correct place in which to ask this question? I keyword searched "Canvas Teacher" and came up with nothing, so I chose this spot.

Hello,  @probinson1 !

You might want to consider adding this as a new Canvas Feature Idea. I know that they're still working with users who were part of the beta program to roll out additional features to the Teacher App, however I'm doubtful that something like this that would impact the overall user interface and experience would be part of these upcoming additions. I'm going to share this with the https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/cmug?sr=search&searchId=45877eb8-b2d5-4322-ad22-0323fb7f83cc&...‌ Group to get some additional eyes on this and see if anyone else has any additional input.

This idea is currently available to beta users. Hopefully if all goes well, it will eventually make it to the app. Progress....

Hi there,  @probinson1 !

I'm not sure if you've kept up to date on the iOS releases, but this feature was released with version 1.3 (see  @Renee_Carney ‌'s comment at https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/9661-teacher-app-to-do-list#comment-106587 from the Feature Idea mentioned by  @rseilham  above). The release notes for 1.3 can be found at Canvas Teacher Release Notes (iOS 1.3).
