I have added a VTT file with captions to a video in Studio. The captions will not show if I turn them on during the video. I have to either turn captions on BEFORE I start playing the video or I have to toggle the captions on, then off, then on again in order for them to show up. Is there a fix for this?

Sorry to see that this question hasn't gotten a response since you first posted in May '21.  Is this still an issue for you with Studio videos and closed captions?  Or, has Instructure (the folks that make Canvas) resolved this in some way?  If it is still an issue, I'd suggest contacting the Canvas Help Desk staff so that they can log your issue and look into it further for you.
