[ARCHIVED] Centrally located files

Is there a central place files can be stored and we can link to this location.  At the moment we are storing files in courses, but this causes a problem when we copy courses and we find that the links to files are broken as the link doesn't transfer across to the new course.

Can we use group files to do this?

Thank you for contacting Canvas Support. in regards to storing files currently content is stored in courses only so this is the best way to store that content. Sometimes links will have to be updated when you import content but in most cases, the files should transfer over just fine.

That's not a great solution. Are there any plans/roadmap to implement a central media bank accessible to all courses?
