[ARCHIVED] Combined Quiz and Survey

I would like to construct a single quiz that has two parts: 

1. some graded questions that have right and wrong answers and 
2. some survey questions that are graded only on completion.

I know that I could make two separate instruments: one a graded quiz and one a graded survey, but I think that will confuse (and irritate) my students.

In other LMSs that I have used, it was easy to designate some questions as graded survey questions without making the entire quiz into a graded survey, so I assume that Canvas can also do this.  But I can't see how to do it.

Can anyone help?

Hi @Tyler_Jarvis ...

I do not know of a way to make only a part of a quiz graded and part of a quiz as a survey in Canvas.  It's all or nothing.  You'll have to decide if you want to make a graded quiz or a graded survey....or just make two separate quizzes to meet your needs.  Sorry that I don't have better news for you.

Thank you. This is sad news.  Maybe it's a good reason to think about migrating to a different LMS next semester.
