I was unable to complete my dissertation and it appears that I am being ignored by every place I apply to for an adjunct teaching option. I'm quite frustrated and trying to determine the best way to show how I can use my education and skills gained along with teaching development in an adjunct fashion. I have spent a lot of time learning how to create the classroom I would just like to find someone that will give me the option to do it; easier said than done, I know.
I don't know what to do and CANVAS seems to be the one way I can show what I've gained and learned I just don't know if it's worth the benefit in taking it that far.
Has anyone else been in this position? My second thought was to place CANVAS snapshots along with many other items about my teaching ability onto a personal portfolio where they can be viewed when given the URL. I appreciate the feedback on this matter. Thanks.
Hi Sue,
Definitely create a mini 2-week course using the Canvas FFT account and then put the self-enroll link (with screenshot) on your LinkedIn, AboutMe, Weebly, Wix, even your Facebook. Include the link in your cover letter as well.
There's also a Jobs board here in the Canvas Community that might be a useful place to start if you're looking for other institutions that use Canvas.
Good luck,
Cheers - Shar
I like the idea of creating a mini-course. I just started to create a blog using CANVAS. I believe I can move through with it and build it up to do exactly that. I greatly appreciate the link you have provided me, I will be looking into that. Thanks ishar-uw! ![]()

I'm in a similar situation -- need to get ideas out there! I'm working on a 2-week basic math skills course.
I know someone who made a 'test prep' course and lots of people are looking for that and will search for it.
