[ARCHIVED] Creating an updated version of a course that we just cloned

We are launching a new version of a previous course  (version A).  We cloned the previous course and created Version B.  Version B is unpublished and I'd like to make all of the updates to it, then publish it. Is there a guide that provides instructions on how to do that? For example, I understand that I may need to remove all old announcements or they will be resent. There may be other issues I need to be aware of.   Thanks.
