How do I customize my Home Page so I can move on from 2.9?

Hi,  @teri_birchfield  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Would you please provide our members with more information on what customization you're hoping to accomplish to the home page—and while you're at it, please satisfy our curiosity about what it means to "move on from 2.9."   Thanks!

I am trying to complete the tutorials, and in order to move forward from

2.9 to module 3 (sprouting), I need to customize my homepage.

The members of this global forum are happy to assist with general questions about using Canvas features but don't have access to your training course and won't be able to assist with course content and progression.
