Canvas Data database dump flat files - how far back does each flat file go?
The InstCon16 session “Keeping Track of It All with Canvas Data” mentioned
25:48 “If you want to go back in the time series, right, because they’re just generated for each month I believe.”
Is that true for all schools? I worked at a smaller school (appox. 3500) and the data appears to go back years for some files.
Is the cut off point, a timeframe or the amount of data?

Hi Kathryn,
While the file links are available forever to download, we remove the data from the files after 2 months. This should only be affecting your request files since those are a daily delta. All other files in Canvas data are a growing historical record.
Every other month, on the second Friday we provide a historical requests data dump that will include ALL of your requests since your instance started, or March 1st, 2014.
