As a parent, I mainly will look at the GRADES tab and page to see where child is at with respect to TIs, NTIs, etc. and such. Is there a way to default so that each time I move to a different COURSE, it shows the summary information vs the detail information. What I mean by this is, don't have all of the COMMENTS detail opened up. I have to CLOSE each COMMENT for each assignment/NAME to then see what I want to see, a summary of NAME, DUE, STATUS, SCORE, WEIGHT & ICON(S).
I have looked around but to no avail. Thank you.
Hi @reneeu -
I'm sorry that your question has gone unanswered for so long! One of the Community Managers found it earlier today and shared it with me. 😊
As an instructor, I've always assumed that the comments are "collapsed", like the students. That is, unless you are looking at the assignment details and feedback directly.
Have you explored this guide?
How do I view the Grades page for a student as an observer?
Based on this documentation, you should see an icon for comments and rubric feedback, but you'd have to expand the item to see it.
If you've explored this during the school year, and you found a solution, it would be great to hear from you. That way, if other Observers have the same question, they have a starting point. If you had this challenge the full year, and the guide I shared doesn't align with your question, would you be willing and able to share a screenshot of a class (omitting student information, of course)?
