Is there a way to delete student submissions within Canvas?
It would be very handy if there was an option.

Solved! Go to Solution.
If this is an assignment that requires a file upload, then it is possible to delete the file, but you cannot delete the submission itself. However, students can make multiple submissions to an assignment.
Likewise, there is no option to delete a quiz submission. If you need to give thee student an option to attempt the quiz again, there are options to give the student an extra attempt. See https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/Once-I-publish-a-quiz-how-can-I-give-my-students...

@mzimmerman , could you please clarify how the file might be deleted then, please? Thank you.
Hi @EmilyMeseck
When you view the submission in Speedgrader, on the right side there will be a link to the actual submitted file, with icons to delete and to download the file:
This is just what I've been looking for! However, when I open speed grader I only see the "download" button (see below). Is this a setting that would need to be changed by an admin?
Hi @EmilyMoran
I believe it is something that is only available to admins. See https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Admin-Guide/How-do-I-delete-a-file-upload-assignment-submission-a...
