[ARCHIVED] Disability Support custom course role?

I'm looking to set up a custom course role for our disability support staff so that they can have access to course materials (published and unpublished) to expedite the remediation process for students with accommodations.

We're currently using the student role for the disability support staff, but that limits their ability to be proactive with identifying upcoming/unpublish materials that may need to be remediated.

I'm wondering if other Canvas admins would be willing to share if they use a custom role and more critically— what permissions do you allow that role? My goal would be to allow more read-only access, but I'd be curious to learn what's worked well for others.
