[ARCHIVED] Does Canvas maintain my privacy?

I utilize online classes because I want to maintain my privacy. I am contractually prohibited from having anyone take my pictures or video without permission. The Canvas class I have requires video threads. How does Canvas protect my privacy and prevent others from recording or taking photos?

This sounds like a conversation you'll need to initiate with your teacher, and possibly with the school administration as well, to see how they can help. When I was teaching, the enrollment services department notified instructors when there were students on their roster who required specific privacy considerations—members of law enforcement, for example—and instructors were advised to make appropriate alternative accommodations for those students. By all means, let your teacher know of your concerns in this regard.
