Hello! I am in instructor in 5th grade and have been with Canvas since 2017. I always enjoyed Canvas, but lately I've hit a wall. This summer I have been inserting google drive assignments in Canvas through the cloud. Additionally, I've just discovered Kami, which I LOVE. HOWEVER, my understanding is students need a google account in order to to access these assignments. What is the best way to go around this as google has age requirements? I've been logging in as a student on a different computer and I'm constantly asked to 'sign in with google'. On the student computer, I even went into 'settings' and tried to add Google Drive, but with no google account, impossible. Please help....
Sincerely,
Desperate Canvas User in Florida

Hi @emily2021 -
I know it can be frustrating to get new tools up and running. Don't give up! Your 5th graders will love having the connectivity once you get there.
Because these tools go from outside Canvas, my best recommendation is to reach out to your Tech Integration Specialist or Canvas Support team at your school or in your district. Are your students using their own GSuite accounts, or will they have school-issued ones? If the latter, you could work with your GSuite Administrator to make sure everything is connected correctly.
If you find more questions, the Canvas Community will do its best to answer them.
