When I send an email through Canvas Inbox I don't see any options to change font characteristics like Bold, Italics, size, etc or other formatting settings.  I only have plain text.  Is there a setting in email that gives me those options?

No, plain text is all you get with the internal Canvas messaging system.

We should not have to request this. It is basic expectations and has been available in all email systems since the 1990s. I have the same problem with grading comments in speed grader. I give many instructions in list form and cannot put them into lists the students can follow easily. Never mind up-voting! Just do it!!

@James - oh man, a request feature as well? And they STILL haven't done it?? One of the reasons I am so far behind is the endless time I lose to not having this basic functionality.

By the way (off topic but can't resist), I LOVE the keyword grading script you/we developed for discussions! Even the highly resistant instructional techs at my institution see that it really does help with the grading!
