I am trying to create a quiz with a Fill in Multiple Blanks problem.
I am using the math equation editor to create a problem where the students are to evaluate radicals with an index.
For instance (under the advanced view) in the math equation editor I put in this:
\sqrt[3]{-216^{2}}
to ask the students to evaluate the cubic root of (-216)^2.
However, because the code has brackets in it an answer blank is being created in the question. First, this is not an answer blank. And 2nd when I preview the quiz, there is no place for the students to input an answer and therefore are counted off for this "answer blank" every time.
Please advise.
