When I create test questions for my math classes, I include multiple items created in the equation editor. They look fine on my laptop. When I check them on the Canvas Student app on my iPad, there is a carriage return before and after each instance. Any fix for this other than putting everything into the equation editor and using \text in LaTeX for the non-equation part. (I have started doing that and it stinks when you have to make a minor edit to the text and you can't just double-click on the object and have the equation editor pop up with the LaTeX code).
I am having the same issues. Some students report that some equations are incomplete while others see the equations just fine. I am hoping someone has responded to you about this issue because it is no small matter...
I have not received any replies to this issue. Canvas in general has problems with it's equation editor. I've had to, on numerous occasions, go back to a problem and rewrite it because it was being displayed with LaTeX code.
