[ARCHIVED] Goes back to main screen every time I switch between apps iPad

When I am in the Canvas app on my ipad, in a class, in a module, in an assignment, several clicks deep and then switch to a different app, like Word to work on an assignment, or OneNote to take notes on something, and then switch back to Canvas, Canvas has gone all the way back to the main screen where I choose which class I want to look at. It’s pretty frustrating when I can’t even remember what class or what module I was in or where I was in the reading and have to dig around to find it. Even if I do remember, it’s several clicks to get back to it every time. This happens even if I’m only gone for a couple seconds. Is this a setting that I can turn off?

I did some testing, and I wasn't able to replicate the issue. ...but it doesn't mean that others can't!

If you're updated to the newest iOS and version of Canvas Student, I would submit a ticket (How do I get help with the Student app on my iOS device?)

Even though this is a Canvas Feature Request, I'm not sure it's a bug too. I'll suggest you vote on the idea if it is consistent with your experience, but also contact your local tech support to put in a ticket to Canvas just in case it's an issue as well.
