[ARCHIVED] Grading Notes - How to add them

I am trying to add "grading notes" to an essay question in a quiz. I looked up and found on here how to do that. However, I do not have the drop down options like is shown in screenshots. Why can't I see how to add grading notes? Any idea or help is greatly appreciated.

Grading notes are only available in new quizzes.  If you are using classic quizzes you can provide a grading guide by adding a rubric to the entire quiz, however the score will still need to be filled in manually in the correct questions.  Also, rubrics are visible to students, so do not put the answer there.  If you do not already have new quizzes as an option when you create a quiz, you can add it in course settings > feature options
