[ARCHIVED] Grading periods and assignment group rules

How do I assign different assignment group rules for different grading periods? If I change the drop rules for the beginning of the 2nd grading period, it changes the grades in the first grading period also.

I don't want to start dropping assignments until the middle of each quarter when students have submitted a significant amount of assignments and may not drop the same amount from each group each quarter.
