Hello All,

So, in my institution, we have 2 grading categories, formative (20%) and Summative (80%). In a category, If I have an assignment that has a 20 point value and another assignment that has a 100 point value, shouldn't they carry the same weight regardless of total points they count for?

 @darmstrong , not in the Canvas gradebook. In the Canvas gradebook the point value of individual assignments in a weighted group does make a difference. Assignments with more points factor more into the grade than assignments with smaller point values.
