As far as I can tell, Instructure implemented an option for Canvas administrators to enable/disable the hidden game in their own school Canvas environments. This was a change made on October 26, 2022 ... which is detailed in the Canvas Deploy Notes (2022-10-26) - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
This is also now documented in How do I set details for an account? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com). If you take a look at the section on "View Features" (currently about half-way down the page), it shows a check-box for Canvas admins (#11 in the screenshot) where it can be enabled/disabled.
So, if you are at a 404 error page and are not able to play either of the hidden games...this is probably why.
