[ARCHIVED] How are LTI tools tracked in the external_tool_activation table?

So now that I've got a functioning canvas data instance to start working against, one Tableau worksheet I've made is to track the external tool activations by course.  I shared the worksheet with our instructional designers and it looks like there are a handful of external tools that didn't have any records that are used in many of our courses.  The designers asked why they weren't there and I had no response as I'm just passing on what the files from Canvas provides. 

My next guess is to see if those tools were recorded at the account level.  I just wanted to see if any one else had tried this before or had any insight on why certain external tools aren't being tracked in the external_tool_activation table.

I did some digging in the table and the missing activations from my worksheet were indeed account activations instead of course activations.  The tools activated at the account level get a lot of use and it would have been nice to track them at the course level to see how much they are used.
